me with knife
The sharp pointy end of the chef's knife you've been using to debone a leg of lamb is not so much fun when you spike your hand with it. Grrr. It's like having a cardboard cut except it goes IN not across.

Can I find the Savlon? No. Teatree oil it is then.

And a cobweb if it's still bleeding.

Aah. It's stopped bleeding now, thankfully but the cobweb is a grand idea. Thank you!

That would be a problem with getting rid of all spiders ...

Hope you're not too badly injured.

Oh we definitely have cobwebs and spiders in this house - they usually just hide themselves well!

*grin*

It's okay now, thankfully but at the time there was rather a lot of silent swearing and hopping up and down a bit.

Ooo! Especially nearly first thing in the morning!

That'll put a damper on your day...

Ouch. Are you cut badly?
11th-Sep-2005 11:04 am (UTC)
No, it just literally spiked me. The teatree oil has stopped it hurting as well.

Um, ow!! :( Hope your hand is feeling a bit better than it was. :o

Yes, it is now. The teatree oil seems to have done wonders!

My Granny used to use whisky for cuts... stung like a c*nt but never got infected.... + my granny seemed to use whisky for rather a lot of things actually.... like putting in her "water" jug whilst she was ironing...

Very old fashioned remedy actually. Dad used to use whisky as a mouthwash if he had toothache.
